The trunk on my 4G F Sport does not fly open at all. As a matter of fact, once the latch disengage I always have to lift open. My guess is that the F Sport spoiler provides enough weight to prevent the trunk from flying open.

6. Only thing for certain is I am going to my wheel shop to see if some 22 Giovanna Mecca's will fit this lovely ride. (Vossen cv3's don't come in 22 inch) Considering exhaust & Drop Springs...
7a. Considered: E-class mercedes or A5 Audi.
7b. This was added alongside my 2006 Acura TL in my garage. Stay tuned for pics...

I just got the car home tonight. Pics were taken at the dealership. I will wait until the sun is out to get some good pics up.

Good luck & prosperity to my fellow Club Lexus members

I too didn't get the ML and hindsight find it hard to justify the extra cost considering how well the Premium Stereo sound. BTW, I am a big ML fan (had it in my GAX470) but Lexus has really closed the gap between their premium and non premium stereo offerings.

What do you think?

1. GS Premium
2. Liquid Platinum / Flaxen
3. Nav, Park Assist, 18" (No ML)
4. RWD
5. No DRS
6. Clearbra & tint installed at dealership - no other mods planned for now
7. Considered 528i, A6. This replaced my Lexus ES

P.S. Don't judge my parking - I moved it just to get the car in frame

These pictures were taking right after Scott (from Scottwax . com) detailed it - wanted to get pictures after it was detailed (wash/clay/polish/sealant), and before the stinking front number plates are put on to ruin the look...
(BTW, I think Scott did a pretty good job).

Only thing left is to apply a sealant on the leather for the interior - soon!

Hello All,

I am a returning GS owner after nearly 3 years away. Had two 3Gs (2007 and 2008) that I really enjoyed, but the handling was never quite there for me after my previous 540. But as soon as I laid eyes on the 4G, it was love at first sight. And the new handling...wow!!

Here are the details on my new ride. I will try and post pics as soon as it is out of the tint shop tomorrow.

1. GS Premium
2. Nebula Gray/Black
3. Nav / No ML (as others have mentioned, the stock unit is pretty darn good, making it hard for me to justify the ML)
4. RWD
5. No DRS
6. Getting tint done today. Wheels may be a future investment
7. I cross-shopped the E350 Coupe and a 335i Convertible (mostly for the wife...it is her current infatuation car). I am back home from an Infiniti G37 (only reason that I got it was due to a possible job layoff that luckily never happened!)

Look forward to sharing stories with my fellow CL members.

Hello -

I just joined today. The new GS F-Sport is our most recent purchase (2/11/2012). Our 2011 experience with the 2011 RX purchase went so well it was hard to look at any other brands. And - yes this purchase went very well too... Two of the best parts of my day are the drive to and from the office (no matter how bad the traffic is). This new vehicle makes me grin every mile I drive it.

1. GS F-Sport
2. Starfire Pearl - Flaxen Interior
3. Navigation/BlindSpot/Park Assist/no ML
4. RWD
5. No DRS
6. Installed - Clearbra/Tint/All weather Mats - Planned - Lowering/Cold Air/Other as $ become avail.
7. Really considered no other cars - tested many other brands (e.g. Acura, Infinity, Audi, Cadillac, etc.) last fall when buying our RX and nothing outweighed all elements of the purchasing or driving experience.

This is my first Lexus, in all honestly; it's my first new car. I never had the chance to enjoy the ML sound system. I.M.O the F-sport's sound system is great. It sounds better than the MB Quart (left right & center) speakers I installed in my 2006 Acura TL. Granted, the TL is running the stock amp. It's my call the F-Sport provides great sound.

6. Tint done, planning to get all weather floor mats and that about it.
7. Considered looking at Audi, but felt more comfortable with the reliability of a Lexus. Replaced my 2010 Prius, HUGE difference!
