Intake sound generator
2013 GS

Premium and cold weather package
I've had my GS for about 3 months and i've been impressed with the style, power and handling. However, i've been disappointed with the way the engine sounds. It makes a high pitch noise and doesn't sound very sporty. i took it to the dealership and they said this is normal. I read that the engine is equipped with a intake sound generator that is supposed to make the engine sound "throaty" but it doesn't appear to be doing the job. i wonder if anyone is experiencing the same issue. Thanks.

Yeah I don't love the engine note at anything but full throttle.
You can always replace the intake with the one from the 3GS. It will bolt right on and delete the sound generator.

Bought mine a couple weeks ago now.
1. GS F-sport
2. Obsidian exterior/Cabernet
3. Nav / No ML / BSM
4. RWD
5. no DRS
6. Not at the moment
7. Replaced a 2011 BMW 535i (no Nav, no lux package) that got totaled. I was pretty much set on getting another 535i with more of the stuff I was missing initially but thought to give the new GS a try. Loved the interior and the handling. Much better value for a comparably equipped 5 series and better service.
Pleased with the purchase. Always finding excuses to drive and take sharp corners with Sports + enabled.

Three Weeks Now
Very pleased with this car. Decided after test drive. Kept my 2008 Acura RDX with Tech package. No trade-in.
1. GS (Premium with Cold Weather Package, 18" inch wheels, and rear lip spoiler)
2. Meteor Blue Mica (light gray interior)
3. Navigation (I would never buy a car without it)
4. AWD
5. AWD doesn't need DRS
6. I've never modded a car in my life--no interest.
7. Also considered 2014 Acura RLX, BMW 535xi, MB E350 4-matic, Audi A6, Infiniti M37x

Aloha all! My name is Rob, picked up my GS from Keyes Lexus on the 17th last month. I LOVE THIS CAR! There are some really nice cars on this forum, hope that I can get mine up to par. Saw a really nice black GS on the Cahuenga after the Lankershim split today around 6:15 tonight. Looked like it may have had a set of Vossens.
1. GS F-sport
2. Starfire Pearl/Black
3. Nav /Mark Levinson
4. RWD
5. No DRS
6. Planning on dropping with Tanabes, wheels (although not sure what I want yet), Wald Executive kit, & possibly some paint.
7. Did not want any other car, the GS replaced my wife's Volvo C70.

Getting a GS350AWD F-sports Nebula Grey. Actually did not take delivery yet. Coming from an X5. I do have a 5 series. I always go for Sports.
Dont know much about features yet, trying to go over the package.
I am torn between Fsports and tech pkg. Already negotiated on the sports because I read that it is very close to a BMW535. Looking forward to the Lexus.
