I finally received a front plate ticket on Friday morning before 6 a.m. The car was parked on the street in front of my house. I have had cars with no front plate for over 40 years now. My luck finally ran out. Bought my car used and did not get a factory mount. I Mounted the plate using the ijdmtoy kit here: Lexus RC No Drill Front Grille Mesh Mount License Plate Relocator Kit — iJDMTOY.com . They did not have one for my specific vehicle, but this one worked ok. Did a sloppy job with black plasti-dip making the silver parts black. Good enough for me.
Also, what Lip iis that it does not wrap up on the sides?
Just gloss Black vinyl, had a shop wrap it.

The lip is a must to protect the bumper, I think it's a more OEM+ look compared to the skipper style lip.

Luckily in Louisiana, we only need the back plates. Man, it disgusts me that down here in Louisiana people put a stupid looking front license plate as a "mod." I've seen it all. People get the European front plate and put stuff like "Your Mom," "Suck It," etc. Lol all of the ricers with civics put "Type R" as a front license plate when they drive a base model civic. A few months ago, I saw a guy with a 13-15 GS 350 F sport with a front license plate saying "F-SPORT."

The officer that verified my correction of the issue told me they have some other department doing the parking tickets. He said they had a lot of flexibility on the front plate issue. I got the impression that he would not cite that. I have received quite a few moving violation tickets before - they either didn't mention the plate or told me I am supposed to have a front one - never a citation until the parking enforcement one.
