Default Anyone Ever Clean Under Here?

Was giving the GS a was and wax today and decided to clean under the trunk plastic trim fender covers. I started on the left side with compressed air and a ton of junk blew out, so decided to take the covers off. I used plastic pry bars and they came off without much effort. Lexus does use some adhesive, but they should go back on ok without replacing it. Aside from the adhesive strip, they are held on with two slide type clips as shown.

I clean everywhere, under hood, fuel lid, anywhere water can reach during a wash. But have never thought about under that trim piece. I doubt mine is that bad, but I guess I’ll have a peek next wash.

Hey 6speediroc, seems like we had similar thoughts! I just posted this question a couple days before you so this was super helpful. Thanks for posting! We'll see what mine looks like next weekend.

Never thought to. I'll definitely do that on next wash.

If your OCD about this might as well remove the entire cowl at the base of the windshield because there are things stuck under that too, especially were it drains in the corners. While your at it remove all the plastic panels under the car, sure there is lots of crud there too. Don't forget behind the front and rear bumpers lol.

I used to when I would hand wash my vehicle.
Now-a-days, I take them to get hand washed.
Easier on my back as I get older.
I still could do a better job but my lower back won't appreciate it afterwards.
