I may have to go out and check this out on the car. I would assume the car would have the correct filter given it's a CPO but you never know what someone may have done.

When I was looking at parts some of them had the filter listed as 2013-2016? Did they change something about it in 2017 or is that just a person not knowing exactly what they're advertising?

That looks about right. The seller probably has had it in stock since 2016, so the fitment is only listed up to that date... or he copied and pasted the part data from an old page. Who really knows?

Lexus/Toyota has an OEM charcoal filter as well. Don't use the basic filter without charcoal. Ugh, looks like moisture in the ac unit.

Try using Lysol spraying into the outside AC vents near the windshield wipers or try this:

I tried that and it works but you may need to do it a few rounds in my other vehicle.

Always check it on used cars, too! This was from a ****box Subaru I had. I don't think that filter was changed for like 10 years!

When we purchased our CPO ES, I opened the glove compartment and found the filter wasn't ever changed. Given it was a CPO, I brought it back to dealer and they swap it out. Always wonder if they really did any work to make it CPO.

Hmmmmmmm.......look what what I found in my CPO F Sport......

So.....before I get all cranky with my dealer..... A few questions:

Does the F Sport come with the washable F Sport filter from the factory?
Or....
Is this something OEM that you can buy instead of the regular filter?
AND
If it is supposed to come from the factory that way does anyone know if that's all model years or just some years?

JDR76 care to check and see what your new 2020 has in there? Maybe this is like the bag hook and the neg battery terminal cover.......

I noticed mine does not have the sticker on the air filter cover that says it's a washable filter like I saw in some photos.

On a positive note - it does look like they changed out the cabin filter. It had some debris in it but I had to clean some of that same debris off the intake areas so I suspect its gotten in there since I've owned the car. I did do quick vacuum to get that loose debris out.

Yea that's the standard toyota/denso air filter for the car, if you want the cool blue looking one.. you gotta pay the premium price.

It's the Denso filter in yellow.

For me, I look for the numbers of pleats than if washable. Little price to pay for avoiding issues.

Here's something that would help.

So the F Sport doesn't come stock with the F Sport filter.....interesting. Always gotta have an upgrade I guess...

I'll have to think on this one and check out those videos! Thanks for including them. Totally agree - buying a quality air filter and keeping it clean/replacing it is worth the small price to keep the engine running smooth.

Well that sucks... here I am thinking I had the F Sport engine air filter in mine all this time. Just checked my 18 with 17K miles, that I bought new... yellow paper filter. Bummer. Oh well, maybe I'll pick up a couple of horses when I get the blue F Sport filter...

This cabin air filter thread turned into engine air filter thread. GSBoy and Chinee u both need to get the blue FSport filter. I did and the car feels like a rocket now. It improves the handling too!

I'm still blown away by what I found when I changed my cabin filter, lol. It's in the thumbnail, or halfway through this video (8min mark):

Tried the oem and tried one of the top brands airfilter u can get with charcoal from MANN FreciousPlus and it was and has been an amazing cabin filter on all the cars I have owned except for this lexus gs350 awd 2013 some thing is off either the cabin filter slot or the design had a flaw or some thing is off cause dust , smell and what ever still comes inside the cabin and that never happens once I have that MANN filter,
the filter tray is secured back correctly and I dont see where and how it's doing a proper job filtering

Did you compare the 2 filters side by side to make sure they are the same size and shape?
