Inexpensive audio mod.........
running Tidal music service on a Levenson head unit is great fun. They have different streaming quality including uncompressed “masters”. These are uncompressed higher resolution files and the detailing is really quite fun on many cuts.
Music is subjective as is the appreciation of quality sound. If your tastes are contemporary/urban/electronic heavy bass tracks and used to having massive bass you might not appreciate what balanced accurate reproduction can do. Thats a bit snobbish from a semi-audiophile still with decent ears but Its fun to listen to some old tracks and discover nuances not heard before in an automotive system!
I don’t listen to music in the car with the volume up as I did in my youth (I’m dong old man rant??? LOL) and enjoy the ML system because the quality detail at lower volume and not causing listening fatigue. We all experience it. Its when you incrementally lower the volume over time on a road trip. When it sounds really good and you can converse with people in the car is a quality attribute. I’m not saying its for everyone but I have learned to appreciate what this system is about and not fight it anymore.
I did a trial subscription and will keep it. No more satellite for me. It hurts my ears!!!
I have a nice phone mount that keeps things handy to make up for the lack of a Tidal App on the sad ENFORM.
Iheart radio app works good enough to stream news stations I don’t get since i canceled Sirius.

Nice to hear you are happy with the quality. I'm assuming that you are using the AUX in from a phone?
I considered going down the Tidal route but lack of integration (compared to an Ipod) was the deal breaker.

IMO direct aux connection works best with high bitrate stuff like Tidal. The ML system is pretty great at resolving subtle details in the music and I think our car's ancient Bluetooth protocol from 2013 isn't going to be able to do it justice. I currently have it connected to an LG V60 with integrated ESS Sabre DAC and it sounds pretty great. It's a bit lacking in the low end so I'll probably add a Morel subwoofer in the future. For media control, I use a cheap little Bluetooth media controller puck.
Sounds like a great stereo setup.
