Hard Key doesn't fit locks
 
I have a new-to-me 2017 GS350, and unfortunately it only came with one key/remote. The dealership I bought it from provided a spare one, but they couldn't program it. I asked my local Lexus dealership to program the remote and cut a new hard key for me (to duplicate my one working hard key). The remote works great, but for some reason the hard key will not fit in either the glovebox or door locks. It appears that the key is a few millimeters too wide to fit in the actual lock. Has anyone seen or heard of this, and how might I resolve this? The only thing I can think of is to have a new hardkey cut from a new 'blank'. Any thoughts?
