GS's and GSF's ML system difference

Hi everyone
I have the 18 GS 2.0t with premium stereo system, and I just upgrade to ML system recently.
I got the parts from a wrecked GSF, and I found all the speaks are same with non F GS.
But the amplifier is different.
the part number of F's amplifier:86280-0WE30
and non-F GS's amplifier is:86280-0WD80

just wonder if anyone know what is the difference of F and non-F GS's Mark Levinson system?

Mark Levinson has more speakers, some of the speakers are 2in1, also more total system power.

No difference, the mark levinson amp is exactly the same since 2015, they just have different parts numbers based on when it was made or what vehcile.

In 2015 they added Clari-Fi technology to the amp. Here is what that technology does:

No one can really answer that question accurately except for the actual engineers who create the part numbers. However, my theory is the part numbers vary for each year and model so they can track parts over a period of time. And say there is an issue with a part, they can release a TSB or notify dealers that such and such part is affected. I could be totally wrong so take this with a grain of salt.

There are lots of parts on the car that remain the same but part numbers change, like eddie said probably to identify production runs or different years it was made. I've looked at the Lexus press release for each year of the GS and the mark levinson amp is exactly the same since 2015.

That clarifi technology sounds like what they did in Jurassic Park to fill in the missing DNA streams of the dinosaurs with amphibian DNA. I would swap out the amplifier to a pre 2015 one, or at least be aware of subtle bull frog noises in your music.

Does anyone know if the newer ML amp is plug and play with the older 13 & 14 ML amp?

Yes it's plug and play. I have a 2016 ML amp in my 2013, can't tell the difference lol, after selling the original, didn't cost me much.
