2013-2015 Lexus GS350 - Turn Signal Rapid Flash Adjustment
Also this is a set it and forget it. I changed the setting 3 years ago, and since disconnected the battery for various things and the car still has the same 5 blink rapid flash setting.

Here are the printed instructions...

Lexus Lane Change Blinker - Change the Number of Blinks

Procedure:

1. Start with the car completely off and the doors closed

2. Use the rotary **** on the wiper control to set how many blinks you want. This **** has four positions:

• 1st (bottom) position = 3 blinks (Default)

• 2nd position = 5 blinks

• 3rd position = 7 blinks

• 4th (top) position = no automatic blinks

3. Hold the wiper lever in the all-the-way-up position, and keep holding it there.

4. With foot OFF the brake pedal, press the Start button twice so the gauges light up (keep holding that wiper lever up!).

5. Continue to hold the wiper lever all the way up for 5 seconds or more (if you go too fast you will have to start all over!).

6. Let the wiper lever come down slightly one position and hold it there for 5+ seconds (don't let it go back to the neutral position - just let it come down one position).

7. Hold with wiper lever all-the-way-up again for another 5+ seconds.

8. Let the wiper lever come down slightly one position again, and hold it for 5+ seconds.

9. Let go of the wiper lever so it returns to the neutral position. Note: The right turn signal should flash once. (If it doesn't, turn the car off and start again at step #1)

10. Briefly move the turn signal lever down 1 position and let go of it again. Note: The left turn signal should flash to confirm your setting, but not in the way you might expect. It will blink 1, 2, 3, or 4 times to match where you set the rotary **** on the wiper control, so:

• 1 flash = set for 3 blinks (Default)

2 flashes = set for 5 blinks

• 3 flashes = set for 7 blinks

• 4 flashes = no auto blinks

Push the Start button to turn Off the ignition to Save the change...

I wish you could set it for 4 flashes. 3 is a bit short but 5 is too long. With Carista, I could set my dad's Tacoma to 4 flashes and I really liked that. Not so with the GS.

I agree with you. The standard 3 flashes is a bit too short, but the 5 flashes is a bit too long. I think 4 flashes would be perfect. I have chosen to stick with 5 flashes...

I used Carista app and free trial to try it out. Many of the customizations were already available to do from within the cars settings and the rest were not particularly useful for me however the one that I thought was most worth it was to prevent rear sunshade from lowering when in reverse.
Yeah I already used the wiper stalk trick and it worked nicely. Thanks for all the feedback.
Hopefully, I'll figure out how to properly use that wiper stalk one of these days

Ha! That's funny b/c figuring out the wipers was the most complicated thing in the whole car.

remember...indicators are for other drivers (you already know where you are going). I would always go with the option that informs people NOT to hit me cause i'm going that way.....for blinkers, if they had NEON signs, that would be more awesome for me.

At 4 flashes I'm already in my lane with one more flash remaining...

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...echstream.html

I am running a slightly older version of Techstream just fine on my windows 10. I have used it on 2009 IS, 2x 2013 GS, 2017 Tacoma, 2017 Highlander
