So I'm looking to go to a quad tip setup (someday) and am pretty set on Apexi (unless there's a better, cheaper alternative).

I'm currently running a JoeZ axleback with modified oem midpipes (res delete, widened piping to 2.25" and changed out stock x-pipe to a 2.5" x-pipe) and it's at about the volume I want. I'm hoping the Apexi axleback will just give it a deeper growl.. and I wanted the quad tips lol

Also wondering if just the axleback will add more drone. With my current setup I'm at the borderline of not minding it and it being annoying.

Base off first hand experience, pretty sure the axleback is going to give you hella drone.

You can do a quad tip set up with the Joe Z. Just gotta cut and weld the tips. I believe the Apexi isn't as loud as the Joe Z.

You know, this might be the most economical choice. I just thought because the JoeZ pipes were slightly offsetted, it might be hard to align with the rear diffuser.

Second question: Is Lexon and Aimgain rear diffusers are the only ones for quad tips right? No way to modify stock diffuser to take quad tips?

Really? That's surprising. I thought Apexi's exhaust had very little drone.

Those are the only two, at least as far as genuine brands. I have some AIMGAIN diffusers on order, but it will likely be ~5 months before they arrive.

I know someone completed a GS F rear bumper conversion with GS F quad tips. Not sure if that might be an option as well since the GS F rear bumper might also support the spacing required for the quad tips...https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...onversion.html

I have done it. I have the JoeZ catback exhaust with Lexon diffuser on. You have to adjust the hangers, otherwise the exhaust will hang too low and won’t be centered. This is what it looks like now,

Can't remember what I was reading recently, or for which car, or for which exhaust .. but it said something about using the exhaust hangers upside down..

I'll definitely get in contact with you when I need it!

I'm mainly just trying to lay everything out on what I need to get first.

That looks so good!

Did you have to take the bumper off to change out the diffuser?

I think its the best sounding axle back.

Just needs an accommodating diffuser to go with it!

Yeah, I took mine off but only because I had to install the quad tips. I think you can leave the bumper on.

Oh yeah, I've seen your setup on Youtube. It was the reason why I wanted the Apexi exhaust
