Default Square Tire Setup -

Hi everyone - I’m new here.
i have a 2018 GS350 F-Sport. Has anyone tried a square tire setup? I realize this would require a pair of factory fronts to go on the rear.
i think I could compensate for the difference in grip using stickier summer tires and I like the ability to rotate.
if I ever move back to a colder climate ( very possible) I would also prefer a square setup for winter tires.

Thanks!

If you really want to rotate, one option as you mentioned would be to get a pair of 19x8 wheels for the rear (as these are already on the front) and go with 245/40/19.

If you want to a buy a high longevity set of 4 tires that match with a long tread wear warranty (eg Pirelli Cinturato P7 Plus), then you could put the same size tire (245/40/19) on your existing staggered wheels.

I also have a 2018 F Sport and I do plan to square my setup when my rears are worn. The question is whether I get 2 front rims or a set of affordable (not cheap) aftermarket wheels.

Square tires? The round ones tide roughly enough.

I'd go aftermarket unless you manage to find factory wheels for cheap(which I did). The original wheels are about as heavy as they get for alloys.

I'm with you, man: round tires are the way to go. They just roll so well. It's incredible.
