micro USB cable under driver's seat

Hi all,
I have my GS450h half a year now, great car! There's something I can't figure out though. I've read the manual extensively and I searched via google, can't find anything about it. A couple of weeks back when I was cleaning the car, I suddenly found a micro USB cable under my seat. It seemed logical to think of the cable as a charger, so I connected my phone, nothing happens. Does anyone know what this cable is?

Trace it back. What's it plugged into?

It comes from under the seat, no way to trace it. I tried pulling on it with reasonable force, it's definitely connected to something. I'll ask it at the dealer when I go there in the future. Could this be how the dealer updates something?

Does your USB in the console work?

The other end is probably just caught under the seat.

Can't figure it out, strange place to have a micro USB cable. I'll ask it at the dealer when I have time, I can't find anything about it. Thanks for the input.

The first thing I would do is raise the seat all the way up and either to the front or back, whichever is snagging the cable. It was probably lost by someone and got tangled into the power seat track.

Put your phone on video record and just slide it around under the seat. See if that helps.

shine a flash light under there first, then put the phone or video device under there.

There are 4 bolts holding the seat down and 4 plastic easy to remove covers over those. 5 minutes and you can be leaning the seat fully back and have full visibility into everything. Seem the easiest...
