Default + paddle shifter not working

Anyone had this problem.? I have a 14 f sport with just over 31k miles and today on the drive home I noticed the + paddle shifter was not functioning. Noticed it while trying to upshift manually while in D. Then switched it to M mode and still unresponsive for up shifts from any gear. Downshift via paddle still works. Upshift via shifter while in M still works, so assuming a connector or sensor or something with the + paddle might be bad.

I turned the car off and back and on and still nothing. Tried it in all drive modes too (Eco, normal, sport/+). Can't remember the last time it worked properly as I don't use it too often, maybe 2 weeks ago.

Taking it to the dealer tomorrow as it should be a warranty repair, will update.

Right move. Let the dealer deal with it. Especially under warranty.

Agreed, if it's under warranty don't sweat it, they'll either repair or replace it.

Just a quick update, got a call from the dealer. They said it was just a connector that sits behind the paddle in the steering wheel assembly that had become disconnected. They plugged it back in and it's working again, pretty easy fix if you know how to pull the airbag and wheel.

Pulling the airbag and steering wheel is surprisingly easy on this car, no need for a screw driver.

In case anyone has this issue, they said it was the 'z4' connector that had become disengaged.
