I and my wife just discovered a new issue with Text Messaging no longer operational with our possible use of the 8 and 8+Phones in our GS 2016 and IS2016. We have checked all our settings on both phones as well as all the settings in our GS and IS. Never a problem before with these models and earlier Lexus models. Apple Care checked and could not find an issue or any complaints about the text messaging issue especially with the 8 and X phones or the IOS 11 software and its updates. I need to call Technical Support with Lexus as they did a firmware/software update about 6 weeks ago. Apple feels that could be the issue.

Anyone experiencing this problem recently? Any support from this forum is greatly appreciated.

 

 

Just upgraded to an Ip8+. No issues. 2015 GSFS.

What exactly is your problem? Speak to text? Notifications? Read aloud?

 

I just took my 14 RX to the dealer yesterday to pair my IPhone 6 with it. Tech. kid was great and paired it with no problems. I couldn't for the life of me get it to pair. Stop by the dealer and see if they can help ya.

 

This is probably it. You have to manually turn the feature on the iPhones. Also make sure you delete your old phones from the cars.
