the fuel pumps look identical but online it says it wouldn't fit.

This is the fuel pump on the 3IS looks similar to the pictures posted here in my opinion

You'll know for sure when you try, not that expensive. This wasn't even designed for the GS, it was designed for the LS high pressure fuel pump, but it fits because they use the same fuel pump.

Default Not too much different

I just installed both covers (taking out the battery helps a ton for space in the engine bay, at least for me lol) on my '08 RWD GS350 and it's sounds the exact same tbh. I was really looking for the 30-50% reduction like others had said but not too much of a difference tbh. Maybe it's a placebo? :/

Best, Norm

It either helps reduce the noise or it doesn't . Maybe people are expecting too much.

A simple decibel meter app would answer this , because numbers don't lie.

Just put mine on. It’s a tight fit on a 14 Fsport. Not sure if other models have different pumps or what not.

didnt take it for a drive yet, but hoping there isn’t any rubbing or noise from the cover, that would be kinda counter productive.

I added one to my GS about 4 years ago. Not only was it a very tight fit, it was a royal pita to get it clipped in on there. It really did a great job in quieting down the ticking tapping noise though.

One of the first few things I did to my GS after I got it. I agree that it was a pain to get it in place and locked in, but I think it was worth it. It doesn't reduce the noise 100%, but it's been enough for me that I rarely notice it. If I remember correctly, it cost about $30-$35 total for both pieces.

Just installed it. Minimal difference in sound although it was on cold start. Haven't had a chance to hear it with the engine warm.

This was a PIA to install. Those who did not remove anything....you must have really tiny hands. LOL I had to remove the battery to get in there and install
