f-sport wheels on 16 non-f GS, opinions please

Did search for a similar wheels swap scenario but did not find anything. I'm currently rolling in 2016 GS nebula on factory 18s with Dunlop SP Sport 5000, I did test drive f-sport before purchase but I felt that suspension was a bit too busy for every day driving on horrible bay area roads. As I'm not planning to drop my car yet, I feel that previous generation 19 inch f-sport wheels (the best looking for gs without drop, in my opinion) is the best option for me. I do enjoy the famous glide ride my car is providing but do miss looks and grip of 19 inch wheels. Before I spend 3k+ on new wheels and tires setup (don't feel like buying used wheels) would like to hear your opinions and experiences on the following scenarios. Has anyone performed the wheels swap? Any regrets? Please share.

1. Switching to 2013+ f-sport staggered wheels setup. Has anyone done it, your experience, any tires recommendations? (#1 preferred choice)
2. Switching to 2013+ 19X8 front f-sport wheels all around. Has anyone done it on rwd GS, any comments on looks/spacing/wheel gap on the rear?
3. Switching to 2016 GS-f wheels (hard to find and pricy). I know it can be done, any comments on the ride quality?
4. Staying with 18s. Forget about looks and turns, comfy glide ride is the king!

I have factory 19" on my F Sports and I'm not a big fan of the ride quality, even though it looks gud but I would recommend staying with 18" unless u wanna compromise the comfort.

Going to revive an old thread. Is it even possible to put GS 350 F-Sport rims on a standard GS with the 18s? With no mods and no issues?

Aftermarket is the way to go personally. 20x9/10.5 if lowered run 245/30/20 front 275/30/20 rear. RSR Sport I-Coilovers I think do just to this car with the right stance.

I know this cars fitment very well. Please DM with any questions.

Yes, I put 2016 GS350 F-Sport wheels on my 2013 GS350 non F-Sport (stock suspension). Since the newer wheels came with the OEM TPMS also, I didn't use my old ones, I just had them reprogrammed but had to have the guy (at America's Tires) input the car info as a 2012 Camry and it worked!

Oh shoot.. Thank you! Have the same exact car as you, same color and tints. Perfect example. And yours is looking great with those rims!

I never did the swap but I did test drive a Premium, Lux and F sport before purchasing a Premium, non-F sport with the 18's. I did feel like the 19" wheels on the F-sport was a "rougher" ride compared to the 18's on the lux and premium versions. I'm currently still on the 18" stock wheels but with Dunlop Signature HP tires...they ride more comfortably than the stock Dunlop SP Sport 5000 tires they replaced.

Besides just the wheel size, I think tires make a big difference in ride comfort as well maybe some 19's wrapped in the right set of tires (e.g Pirelli Cinturator P7s) will do the trick.

Wow, so far 2 members saying that the 19's make the ride rougher/less comfortable. I have the 2015 f-sport 19" with the Potenza RE050's and I think the ride is perfect, but then again I upgraded from a 2008 IS350 with x-package which was a little on the rough side. But to be honest, I didn't try to test drive a non f-sport, due to my need for performance. Once my tread is low, am going for some all-seasons (probably A/S 3+) and the ride should be even smoother without sacrificing too much performance.

Thanks! I think it gives our non F-sport models a newer look.

I have driven my friends premium package with 18" it's much comfortable ride then my FSports with 19". I also have "10 IS250 and it's not comfortable at all have the same level of rough ride. If you really want a soft cushy ride then the ES is the best bet with high side profile on the tires and the best of all is the LS.

I'm riding on a loaner 2017 GS 350 with 18's and yes the ride is more softer than my 2013 F Sport.

Looks great mate!

I think those '16 F sport wheels look great on any GS! They really seem to fit the car.

As far as ride quality, all things being equal, the larger the diameter of the wheel, the more road feel will usually be transmitted into the car. That being said, I much prefer the ride quality in every respect of my '16 F sport with the 19" wheels, compared to my prior '15 non-F with the 18's. Maybe the AVS suspension just does its job well....but I'm not sure exactly how much harsher the 19's would feel on a non-avs suspension car.

I have GSF wheels on my 14' GS350 on michelin pilot super sport tires and my car ride is about the same as before. Maybe a tad bit more rough but not noticeable. I have another set of GSF wheels for sale if youre local in Orange County.

GSF wheels or GS F sport wheels? If the new GSF wheels, you mind posting some pics?
