Trunk close from the key?
Hi everyone,
I have a 2014 GS350F AWD. Does anyone know if it's possible to program the keyfob to automatically close the power trunk? It opens from the key today and to close I push the button on the trunk.
My dealership is telling me it isn't possible to program closure from the key, but they've been wrong about many things in the past. Thanks for the help or information!

Nope, not possible from the key. The Toyota lawyers don't trust us enough to have the feature and not sever limbs remotely.

Interesting that it doesn't work. I don't have it on my GS but I do on my RX and you can open and close the RX hatch from the key.

Side question here, but how do you open your trunk with the key if your fob battery does? I don't see a key slot just a rubber button to push on.

Gotta open the driver door and press the trunk release button there. No key hole on until trunk lid.

Well I'll be damned. Don't remember one being there. I stand corrected!

Most of the trunk key slots are filled with black goo (lubricant plus carbon and dirt)...because they have never been used.
