Tpms
On a 2015 GS I switched OEM summer tires and rims with oem tpms sensors to winter tires with aftermarket rims and no tpms sensors. Can anybody explain why the tpms warning light does not come on? When I turn the ignition on, the tpms light comes on as all other lights but goes out when the vehicle is started. The tpms light has not come on in 60 miles of driving. I have a 2010 RX and in doing the same winter switch over to rims with no tpms sensors the tpms light comes on within seconds of starting the engine. The codes for the oem sensors are registered in the tpms ecu on the GS.
Do you park the car in the garage where your OEM tires w/ tpms are stored?
Usually the tpms light comes up within the first 100 miles. However, if you park the car close to your OEM tires, the car reads the data every time you start the car, thus resetting the counter.

The oem GS and RX tires and rims are both stored on wall racks on the same wall , the RX is beside that wall in bay one and the tpms light comes on when I start it as I assume it does not get the signals. The GS is in bay two about fourteen feet away from the oem tires and wheels. It is certainly possible that it is getting a signal from the wheels as the batteries in the tpms are near new. I will switch the GS to bay three and try that.
