I have text message alert set up, so when they come in it pops up on screen and I can read it or have it read to me...... But after reading is there a way to delete messages from the Info system ?

I know this really doesn't answer your question, but I'm missing something. I have a 2013 w/nav and an iPhone 6. Can I get my texts on my screen as well?

Yep. Go to settings > Bluetooth > pair your phone > tap the "i" icon on the right of your device (LEXUS GS) > turn on "Show notifications"

+1, concur @dchar

When you're done reading the text window, click on the MAP button to continue with the NAV screen.

My text messages are a hit and miss being displayed on screen. Dealer tech they tested it and it consistently displays during their test run. Am I missing something? I checked all the phone configurations in the car to display messages, it pairs well with my S5 but I still miss texts that came in while driving. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

That happens to me too. Sometimes you just have to disconnect and reconnect the phone.

OP, Delete the text from the phone, next time you restart the car it will be gone.

I didn't know the 2013's had this. I thought it was for the newer GS350's. Glad I came across this thread.

Worked! This is one feature I really wanted and thought I was out of luck on the '13.

So when I try to reply to the text using one of the pre-set responses in the car and hit send, I get an error on the cars screen.

Has anyone els experienced this and if so, how did you fix it?

For those of you who have been able to make this work in your 2013 GS, have you experienced the issue of not being able to reply to the text message from your car?

My '15 doesn't even save my txt's. It only shows txt's that appear while the car is running/phone paired. If I shut off the car, the txt are cleared from the audio console. But if new ones come in, they will be displayed. I guess that is convenient? My '14 Ram 1500 with Uconnect saved all my texts in the car's audio system.
