New GS is meant to have L headlights and its a shame they are not standard.

Also by looking at the F-Sport vs F comparison shot we could tell the F bumper was the first and original design in the refresh process. It kind of makes sense while regular bumper doesn't.

Very solid refresh and who ever is buying please tick that Premium L headlight option

Maybe I should have waited till 2016?
Can't wait forever.
Nevermind, 2019's 5GS will be better again, and with small capacity turbos.

The GS200t's photos didn't do the 2016 Refresh justice.

Better than the F IMO.

F-Sport

F

Def not a fan of the huge, gaping brake ducts (?) at the bottom right and left of the front bumper. I even see some BMW models sporting this and it is not appealing at all.

what do you guys think?
I like the GSF front more than the F-sport. I like the smoother look underneath the headlights. I think the extra ducts make it look meaner, more aggressive, and gives the car more of a presence. The new F-sport bumper is too similar to the non F-sport. They have similar shapes and just a few trim differences, but not enough differentiates them for me.

One things for sure...the Premium L-LED headlights is a must for the 2016+ GS.

I agree. What I don't like in the GSF is the way the front really looks like it has an underbite...I'll have to see the F Sport from some other angles to see if the same is true there.

Anyways...

heres an example of what I'm talking about with the "underbite" on the GS-F:

The fact that halfway down the grill the front end takes another angle and just back out further than the hood line.

The F Sport may not be quite as prominent in that way:

Hard to tell from the available pictures though.

The F-sport looks to have the same "problem" as the GSF to me. The plate in the front might help in reducing that look. I think it won't be as noticeable when seen in person.

True.
This new Refresh may have some rather unpleasant angles for the nose that we have not seen yet, because the overall shape of the new nose cone must be the same on all models.

But on second thoughts, the GS F really doesn't look as nice as the Refresh; the Refresh actually looks better than the GS F...

Yeah, thats an aspect of the spindle design language I just don't care for. You can see it in the front license plates too, they actually angle inwards at the bottom because of the way the nose pops out. To me thats the biggest difference between this and what we saw with the LF-Gh, it had a big exaggerated spindle, but it didn't have this underbite.

A long nose past the front wheels isn't a sporty or attractive look IMHO...

Actually, this new Refresh in GS200t and GS450h still has the GS F's "longish" nose cone as seen below; thus at certain angles, the Refresh won't look so good either.

The LF-Gh Concept and the original 4GS had a shorter snout.

A moderator has cleaned up a number of rude and personal insult comments.

Let's keep this about the new GS and not on the members posting. If you can't do that I'd strongly suggest you exit this thread.

Is it just me or the front of the Hybrid screams for a hidden Avalon?

I know those side grilles are there for a reason but imo they are just too big for the overall car, not proportional at all. There are a lot higher performance cars but they don't seem to give me this feel. This is the very same reason I don't like the E.

Just enjoy the 15 and trade in next year when it cools down a bit.

Wow, that is a really unflattering angle for the GS F Sport. I know there is no underbite, but it reminds me of someone who has just ingested something sour or is in pain.

My brand new '15 went in for a full Xpel wrap today. I need it to last until Lexus stylists come to their senses.

I drove the RC350 and RC F back to back today. My dealer happened to have like 5 RC F and tons of RC350 on the lot. That V8 roar though. Now I can never feel my 3.5L motor the same way again.

Man that V8 motor is LOUD and fast! It's a monster! The GS F will be great!
