Depending on your mileage, you need to take it in for service. The major ones (oil and filter changes) are at 10K mile intervals. The 5K mile interval ones in-between can be skipped, and you'll just have to reset the light yourself.
Resetting maintenance light:
1) Odometer must be in Trip A display
2) Turn car off
3) Press and hold odo button
4) Without foot on brake, push ignition button twice (while still holding odo button)
5) Continue holding odo button for a few seconds and watch display until lines clear
6) Release odo button

I've never owned a car that I ran synthetic in but are you guys really going 10K miles on an oil change??? Just bought this GS and that just sounds WAY high to me, even on full synthetic. I'm old fashioned I guess...

I too used to religiously change every 3K miles. First car with Synthetic and I am following the 10K rule. I suppose if I ran the car harder I might move it up to 7.5K.

I was a service advisor at an Acura dealer what seems like a lifetime ago and used to talk to the factory rep about oil on occasion. Oil to me has always been "cheap" compared to other problems I used to see so I just change it. Now, regular dino oil is definitely cheaper than this thing to change so my tune may change a bit.. lol. Maybe I will stretch it to 7.5K

That synthetic oil with [only] 10k miles will test about like brand new oil. Synthetic oil is good for 30k miles or more in many cases. Short trips and stop-n-go city driving is really the only reason the car manufacturers recommend 10k-15k miles. Many vehicles determine when to change the oil based on engine operating data and you'll see 12k-15k+ miles clocked before the oil needs changing.
If you think 10k miles is too long - get the used oil tested and you'll learn it's almost as good as brand new oil...even though it may 'look' like it needs changing.
