Driver's side mirror getting stuck

My driver's side mirror started having problems adjusting. I first noticed when the mirror tries to reset from auto tilting when in reverse. It was go to a certain point and start clicking as if something was blocking it from resetting.

If you push it with your hand it makes a terrible sound but then it can be adjusted without issue. It sounds terrible and I don't want to make things worse so I disabled the auto-tilt function.

Anybody else run into this issue?

Seems like mirror isn't attached correctly to the plate if it works for tilting. Try securing it by pushing on it. If nothing changes, you can try taking it off and re-securing it again. Look at the instruction for changing puddle lights to LED for instructions of how to take off mirror. Or...just take it to the dealer.

Took my car in to the dealer today for a detail and to have them into the mirror(which only moves up and down now). They found out that the motor has failed and is being replaced under warranty. Should have my car back tomorrow as they had to order the parts for replacement. I get to drive around in a CT for another day :woohoo:
