Default Bluetooth Audio Streaming Glitch?

Hey all,

I'm new to this forum as I just got my first Lexus (2013 GS350)

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed an issue with connecting their iPhone for bluetooth audio streaming / if there are any fixes for this. I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 8.3 that connects when the car turns on. However, sometimes when I switch modes to BT audio from say, FM radio, it'll say "Portable audio player connected" and my phone lock screen as well as the navi screen will show that the music is playing, but no audio is coming out of the car speakers. If I turn off the audio system and turn it back on, the music will play. I can also pause the audio on the navi screen then hit play and it will play. Pause then play on the phone does nothing.

Thanks!

I've had this happen but it was because my iPhone ran out of memory due to other open apps and was tombstoning the music app or Downcast into backgound.

I usually just use the play/pause button to the right of the CD/DVD slot to resume playback if I'm using the stock iOS music app. If I'm listening to podcasts on Downcast I have to manually open it to bring it out of background.

BTW. I've tested it using USB connection and Bluetooth A2DP and it's the same for both. So I think the problem lies with iOS and not the car's bluetooth. Unfortunately sometimes apps gets pushed to backgound and needs to be re opened. This is why the Enform app needs to be reopened if it hasn't been used. It's just the phone managing memory.
