Took my car to Longo Lexus dealer for brake service. I was told the car has a recall on airbag passenger computer. Part will take about two morth to get. They're on back order. 2013 GS350 No Good. that's what I was told.

 

I could've sworn I read somewhere that this applied to early 4GS's and not so much the later ones

 

I think the very, very early 2013 models that were made in early/mid 2012 are the only ones that are recalled.

 

...bummer...maybe this explains why my dealership refused to take my appt?

 

So they told u to come back when the part is in or...?I'm down for a loaner for a month lol

 

Turned my car in on Monday for the 50k service and this recall. Still in the Buick ES lol. (No offense to it though, it is a nice car for the crowd it's intended for) My service advisor said there has been some difficulty getting the parts shipped and delivered to them. I don't mind though, barely drive 10 miles a week since I don't drive to work...

 

What is a Buick ES?

 

It's a joke about the Lexus ES. Since it is FWD and drives very floaty like a Buick. It's a nice, comfortable, affordable car for people who don't care too much about performance or want good fuel economy (hybrid).

 

I took mine in Thursday for the recall. They replaced the passenger seat mounting rails and some electrical components. Take 4 hours of labor to complete it. They gave me a very nice 2015 RX350 to drive for a couple of days but I was very glad to get my GS back.
