Default Supercharged GS anyone?

On clublexus homepage there is an article about a Lexus LX570 being supercharged in Kuwait. There is also a video showing Hennessey performance doing the same thing to an Lx570. Why cant us GS350 owners do the same? Ive been told its because of the cars ECU computer hard to crack, but I am sure the ECU in the LX570 is similar? So how hard can it be?

Couple of things ... compression on V8 is 10.2:1 vs 11.8:1 on the V6 allowing more boost on the V8. Another hurdle is the V6 is direct + port injection. I think the V8 is port injection only making it easier to manage using a piggy back or standalone EMS.

Chances are they are using a piggy back EMS to preserve as much of the Lexus' features as possible, BUT they also have limited capabilities in tuning. Although a standalone ECU has greater tuning capabilities, I doubt anyone would use one on a luxury vehicle. And as of now, I don't know of any EMS that can handle a combination of direct and port injection combined as in the GS.
