Default Forcing Nav route

Is there a way in the Navigation to force it to take a certain Highway. Luck me as to go to Darien CT tomorrow for work. From what I'm told is take Rt 15 instead of 95. (coming from Long Island)

When I try entering it in, it forces me to take 95. Besides actually going the wrong so it recalculates I'm wondering if I can tell it take RT 15 instead

Thanks.

If you know it is a more efficient route, just go and take it and let the navigation make the route corrections as you go.

The nav should provide alternate routes for you to chose if you have entered a destination though.

All the alternative route use 95. I would normally just go the way I know and have the Nav re-route me but i'm not sure on how to get to the highway I want to take.

On my old RX350. If I had to go to the airport. It would always tell me to take a crazy route. So I ended up putting the exit to the airport off the highway in as the waypoint. Instead of the airport entrance.

Who the hell calls it Rt 15? It's the Merritt Parkway!

But yes, put a waypoint on the Merritt and let it guide you.

Can't you trace your route one time and then save that and use it?
