Analog clock?-Why no Digital.

Anyone wishing to get the digital back. There is a digital clock associated with the GPS but I wish it could be displayed.

I like the analog clock.

Joeb427 01-21-14 10:13 AM

Today most luxury vehicle lines have analog clocks.I like it!

jkeifer3 01-21-14 11:41 AM

The analog's ok but I wish they had done it in a way so that it was synchronized to the GPS clock available in the NAV unit.

Fan of the analog clock as well !

I like the analog clock. Adds some additional class to the interior.

Infamous3 01-22-14 02:47 AM

Having that analog clock in the middle isn't a problem. Its a nice touch to the car and it looks good. What is a problem is having no digital clock. If you wanna see what time it is you've got to look at that analog clock or look at your phone

I've seen a digital clock in the settings messing around and stuff but theres no way you can permanently have one on your screen

It would be nice to have a digital clock in the display between the gauges in front of you. It would keep you from taking your eyes off the road to check the clock on the center of the dash. A digital clock in the HUD would be even better.....and safer.

Analog are nice! Classic look = Luxury. I do agree a digital clock in addition = Happiness for GS owners. Speaking for all...

Analog guages are typically found in performance cars so I think it works nicely for this application.

This makes no sense. The analog clock tells time...so if you want to know what time it is...looking at the analog clock tells you the time so why would you have to look at your phone? Why do you need two clocks? I have a grandfather clock in my hallway...when I walk by it and see the time I don't feel a need to corroborate that time with my phone because the clock is analog.

Many people in the world, myself included have watches that are analog...and we can tell time on them. I learned how in kindergarden ;) How did the world ever survive before digital clocks?

Yes,I think the younger generation always had digital clocks and an analog takes them a second or two to tell the time.:)

1111GS 01-22-14 09:24 AM

I know. I always have to ask Siri what time it is :D

My wife has issues telling time on an analog clock lol, I give her a hard time about it all the time.

I also wish there's a way to set a digital clock SOMEWHERE on it's huge screen. In some light, the analog clock's hands are difficult to read. Maybe because the driver is reading it from the side, it's more of a problem for shorter drivers. Also, the height of the clock is too low.

yeah but it gets set back after time. You set a time and like 2 weeks later it gets set back by like 5 min or something. Not a great analog clock. Forgot to add that in my first post

I havent seen this what so ever. I do change setting twice a year for winter n summer time. Its lovely to withhold. But then I use analouge wrist clock as well. So maybe there is something else here.

Analog FTW... have no probs with it whatsoever.

mcomer 01-25-14 09:23 AM

How will we know what "counter-clockwise" means. Waddya mean by "bottom half of the hour"?...
Big hand/little hand...Lost culture with digital displays.

As luck would have it, the LS gets "mo betta" goodies of course. And, I am guessing, as you cross time zones, the clock resets itself accordingly.

I have also never had this issue. Its an electronic clock, it should keep time like any other electronic clock.
