Even my AWD does that tail spin in the snow due to the bias of the splitting of the power to the rear wheel more then the front. This makes the GS fun to drive in the snow. Though I have to use the snow mode to help.

What does the snow mode do? How does it work?

It pretty much decreases the throttle sensitivity to make the acceleration pedal feel a bit firmer, and starts the car in second gear from the stop light to help keep it from spinning too much.

I might be wrong but I thought snow mode also splits the power to the front and rear wheels 50/50 rather than 30/70? At least that's how it feels to me...
