i know there really isn't anything out now but i am wondering if anyone is still trying to crack the lexus ecu at all. it seems that an engine this old should've been cracked by now.

is it just impossible? no viable market? or did people just give up...

 

No one has cracked it yet.... I don't think it's impossible though, anything can be cracked eventually.

 

HG Motor Sports is currently trying to crack the ISF ecu (check out the ISF forum). Im sure once thats accomplished they could venture off to other Lexus platforms.

 

I have a friend who is gonna try to do that for me when I am ready, but he says its very hard to do that on a Lexus, don't know y, but he would love to try it, so I can get it dyno after the exhaust and intake install.

 

I doubt there would be significant gains in the crack itself. However, a crack will open the door to forced induction and whole lot of other fun things. Not holding my breath for one though.
