I use a tripod and adjust the f stop to capture more or less of the car. If I want the whole car depth, 11 usually does the job for me. And I manipulate pictures with Photoshop too. Try those things and you will see improvement in your pictures. She's a beauty and you need to practice to be able show that. I'm learning myself too. It's fun and relaxing.
I think Syd is right, and I need more layers of the tire gloss. Also, I agree with you that my camera angle was off - The glare from the sun at that angle was not showing the tires at their best. I do need to experiment with the exposures a bit as well.

You and Syd both have excellent suggestions!

Zaino Z16 is a good dressing... you just have to apply 2 coats and wipe off the excess. the key to the Z16 is that you should let it dry. if you're not going anywhere after you apply the dressing... apply it and go inside or do your windows and in about 15 minutes and it should be dry. before you dry the car, do the tires and wheels first and then dry the car so by the time you're done drying the car the tire dressing will be dry.
Good point - I got impatient and only did one coat of the Z16...And I know from past use that it really needs two coats to really shine.

the Z16 is watery, so i would use a MF towel to apply . 1 coat on each wheel, i would let it marinate and go around again (no waiting after the 1 coat on the last wheel) for the second coat, gently wipe off the excess after the second coat, go to next wheel and do the same until you're done, and let dry
