These new cars are like computers:

Stuff doesn't work............re-boot it.
Things freeze up..............re-boot it.
Car goes into limp mode........re-boot it.
Get a strange warning light........re-boot it.
Things don't work the 1st time...........re-boot it.

It will be very interesting to see what the dealer comes up with. Hopefully, it's not a serious problem.

these new cars are computers... that's the scary part. computers are very unpredictable, you don't know what's going to happen every time you turn it on. i'm curious as to what they're going to come up with also.

Unless there is a hardware glitch, computers do exactly what they are told to do. My bet is the software running in all the boxes is buggy because software engineers can never, ever get all the bugs out of a system this complex.

As to what they will come up with, I suspect they won't find anything "concrete" because the techs aren't software/hardware experts.

Happy New Year to ya and good luck!

yes you are right. the techies are not hardware/software geeks, although i am sure they have the resources, which are extensive. i might cancel my appointment and take my car to Jersey to the detailing gurus at DD. they like me but they hate Lexus paint.
