Default 4GS AWD vs Winter Storm

Yesterday I encountered a major snow storm in the Washington Cascades. There were cars and trucks in the ditches and folks were chaining up. The Lexus felt rock solid except there was a slight floaty feeling I think may be due to the wide tires. I have the COLD WEATHER option and really like it. The electrically heated windshield kept the wipers free of snow and I must admit I do like the heated steering wheel. I didn't try the headlight washers.

What tires did you have brand wise and tire size? Sports 19 ibch or premium/luxury 18 inch?

The new 4GS has heated wipers!??!?! wahhhhhhhh, no way lol. And I thought I read all the features on the web, clearly I missed that one. Useful features, that would definitely help me up here in the great white north.

The wipers themselves are not heated. It's the bottom off the windshield where the wipers rest that gets heated.
Very clever and useful feature though.

lots of stuff coming in compared to 3GS - heated windscreen and heated steering wheel are nice and I remember quite a few peeps here mentioning how they would like that on their 3GS.

My 2008 GS350 has the heating element at the bottom of the windshield for the wipers. I have a Canadian-spec'd GS though so it might be different from the US spec'd cars...
