"Experts" have designed some pretty ugly cars over the years, and you don't have to be an expert to look at something and decide whether or not you like it.

Have a 2GS, will upgrade to a 3GS in the future, hopefully a 4GS past that...not sure what that explains...?

Anyway, someone above asked a few questions about the interior. As underwhelmed as I am with the exterior, the interior seems absolutely amazing:

The interior looks pretty good.

It seems to have a slight "European touch" to it. I'm saying this because the design reminds me a bit of the current F10 5er and W212 E class cabin, especially in regards to that elongated slab of wood running horizontally across. I also like the analog clock in the center. That adds a touch of class and character to the cabin. I've always disliked digital clocks in luxury cars.

Is Lexus designing the new GS with Europe and the rest of the world in mind?

It is way to early to comment on the exterior. I doubt Lexus will take the "aggressive" route with the GS (they should reserve that for the performance version). As a company you need to think of your core clients, not the enthusiasts on a forum board.

 

i am definitely digging the interior, i think it looks stunning

when the is350 came out, i thought it looked awesome
when the ls460 came out, i thought it looked incredible
when the lx570 came out, i thought it looked fresh
when the rx450h came out, i thought it looked more stylish
when the gx460 came out, i thought it looked weird
when the es350 came out, i thought it looked weak
when the gs460 came out, i thought it looked disappointing

i am just everyday joe, one of those who made up most of club lexus everything here are just personal comments, everyone can say what they want. if one wants to comment on a mule, i don't see why not.

 

I don't know why Lexus can't release some official pictures of the interior. It doesn't seem like they were trying to hide anything at the autoshow.

 

There looks to be a iDrive type **** in the middle instead of the mouse type thing in the RX

 

I'm assuming that would be the three mode hybrid **** (Eco, normal, sport)

Somehow, it looks like autospies was purposely taking those interior pictures with the glare and reflection to tease everyone

Yeah, pictures are floating around and I didn't know it was illegal to make comments

What are we supposed to do? Keep it quiet?

By us voicing and expressing what we want or would like to see, hopefully Lexus is reading this and can make some final adjustments.

That interior is pretty squarish.

lol i was thinking the same thing. they definitely took the pics at very bad angles they should at least use their hands to block the reflections

 

that was interior of a concept vehicle, not a production vehicle.

 

those interior pics look very bmw'ish to me, but with more styling/curves. very promising.

 

But usually concept vehicles have crazy interiors (that are photographed as much as the exterior) or don't have interiors at all.

This interior looks like it's production ready.
