Default Wheel bearings

When should wheel bearings be replaced? I've read some things that say they last between 80,000-100,000 miles. My 2013 AWD GS 350 F-sport has 101,000 miles. Also, it makes a low grinding noise when I turn the wheel now. I don't think that it's the CV boots. I've checked those already. Do you think that it might be the wheel bearings? How can you tell?

I had one of my front wheel bearings go at about ~199k KMs (123k miles). Bought an NSK (made in Japan) bearing from rockauto for about $130CAD and a brand new axle nut from the dealer. I bought the 2nd bearing but it still hasn't gone bad about 30k KMs later.

The wheel bearing was making a pretty loud whine on the highway, usually the tell-tale sign of a bearing going. Grinding noise, I would double check over your brakes. I've had my old of pads that seemed to shift slightly when turning which would cause an on-and-off grinding noise at times.

both the front went out 2 weeks of each other on my RWD 2013 at around 110,000KM. The right rear went out 3000KM after that.
