My car has an automatic open and close trunk which I never manually forced closed or open, but recently it has completely stopped working. It does nothing when I press the button on the trunk or the valet button, I have tried to hold the button while manually trying to lift it with no luck, and it won’t even unlatch at all. I haven’t tried the emergency release latch inside the trunk because I can’t reach it, the back seats don’t fold down so there’s just a small 1ftx1ft hole that I have to try to reach through. The last time it worked was when I was taking my car to a tire shop to get my front tires replaced after I hit a pothole, and not to put blame on them but it’s possible they were rough with it when putting my spare back in the trunk and broke something. But I’ve also read something about the fuse popping for the trunk, but I checked the fuse box and I didn’t see anything wrong, I also had no idea what I was looking for though. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
