Wanted to start off by thanking everyone here. Y'all have saved me so much headache when trying to do repairs!!
To the issue at hand. I've got a 2014 and last year I swapped out my headlight lamps. When installing the passenger side lamp, I guess I broke the retaining bracket that holds the metal retaining clip in, and now the clip will not stay in. Is there any way to repair or replace this bracket without having to replace the entire headlight assembly? Thanks for all the help over the years, y'all have helped save me thousands of dollars!!
I think those retaining clamp ears are cast and next to impossible weld onto - but maybe aluminum. I think your best bet is savaging that bulb retainer wire clamp bracket ring from a heavily damaged headlight that is otherwise worthless except for the part you need and maybe the wire clamp as a spare. If you're lucky maybe you can find a badly damaged one at a junk yard or a body shop that hasn't been tossed in the dumpster yet.
Looks like plastic to me if so user super glue. Once you've glued the piece back on reinforce on the sides using super glue and small strips of paper towel.

Part of what I'm trying to figure out is if that part comes apart. I took off the two screws and they were just there to hold the metal retaining clip at the top and the retaining bar at the bottom. I was looking to head to some junkyards this coming weekend to see if I can find one to tear down.

Unfortunately, those pieces are long gone. Searched as best as i could inside the housing, but couldn't find anything.

That sucks.

If so then adhesive won't work like you pointed out, well maybe if you used structural body adhesive but not something you can buy over the counter. Can someone explain to me why a replacement headlight can be $2,500?
.... looking at that again I think it's possible to drill into the housing, cut some threads then use a custom fastener (a bolt with an ear soldered on) so the clip has something to contact. Or maybe the head of the fastener would be enough.

That looks to be a newer design and mine is a 14. I started looking up headlights from other models bc I couldn't find a good image of the locking mechanism and I found that the RX from that era has the same type of headlight. Below is a screengrab of one of those videos which shows what my headlight should look like. I'm going to do a bit more research bc it looks like that whole assembly may be able to be removed. If so, a beat-up headlight from an RX would be MUCH easier to find than a GS.
