Anyone have a DIY? I just opened the moonroof for the first time today in several months and the motor is making some strange groaning noises. 2006 GS430. I have to believe it’s not too hard of a job, assuming you can get to it.

 

Replying to my own thread. A while back I was trying to determine the source of a moonroof leak so I took off the upper console to see what was going on behind the moonroof controls/console lights. I wasn’t quite sure what I was looking at but I snapped a few pictures. Luckily I saved them. Here is a picture of the moonroof motor, part number and all. Looks like an easy job to replace it. hope this helps.
