Default Remote mount turbo setup Gs300 AWD

Hello I Currently own a 2006 Lexus GS 300 all-wheel-drive. I was thinking since there are no turbo kits for this car.... maybe a remote turbo set up would work, hear me out. The pistons are smaller than the 2gr- fse, but has a higher compression rate. The car runs on 93 so no need to change the gas unless you want to run a different fuel. You may stuff the turbo on the rear passenger side exhaust outlet or choose to cut the trunk 👀. The catch can and fuel regulator can run in the trunk or somewhere else. Everything else is up to me to decide.....wish me luck. I’ll be update you when the purchases are made so on and so forth... peace

I dont think it is a wise decision, when you have other options. its double do not get me wrong, and I am all for modifying cars, But why dump all that money into a 2006 GS300 when you can sell this car that has 245hp, weak brakes, ecu transmissions problems

Buy a 2008 GS350 awd that comes with 303hp, bigger brakes, pretty solid reliable quick cars, newer front end, better tech etc. Lets say you slapped a remote turbo on the GS300, 20-40hp max. Thats the same hp, but the GS350 will be faster because the dont forget remote turbo takes time to spool up, and building boost. Then the issue of reliability, what parts will you use, if you used all ebay china turbo (which are crap for a daily driver) if you factor the price of the turbo, wastegate, fuel pressure regulator, piping, dyno tuning, oil scavage pump, etc. You will blow past the price of that 08 GS350 and only to have a car that may keep up, but brake worse.

Save your money and then turbo the GS350 or better yet supercharge an awd to have sick hard launches, they do make supercharger kits for them with tuning already.

+1 for a supercharged GS350 - better in every way.

Also, TIL that the NA GS300 has different brakes than the rest of the lineup... in the EU they all use the same disks/calipers(/I guess pads too).

This sounds like a cool build! How much power are you wanting to make? GS300 makes about 200whp, could you increase it to 300whp? But who knows how the AWD system will take that power, they have major issues just from lowering the car. I think a 350 awd would be a better starting platform, or a 460 comes with 100 extra hp anyways. Good luck though, I can't wait to see the results!
