Headlights part numbers
Hi,
I need to replace my 2006 GS' headlights,. In my research, I came across different part numbers for 2006 cars and 2007-2011 cars.
For MY2006:
81070-30B61 driver side
81140-30B50 passenger side
And for MY2007 and above:
81070-30B62 driver side
81140-30B51 passenger side.
I looked up closely side-to-side the pictures of each side. The 2006 passenger side headlight seems to have a differently shaped ridge in the lower part, but otherwise, as far as connectors, bulb caps, tabs and the entire 2 driver side assemblies, they look perfectly identical. Moreover, if you look for aftermarket headlights, most vendors advertise headlights for 2006 to 2011 models, so it would confirm the mounting tabs and bumper of any 3GS would accept headlights from any model year. But at the same time I can't figure out why they don't give the newer part number for 2006 GSs then. I'm wondering in case the updated design is better, which is usually the case.
So I would like to know if you're aware of any differences or caveats for that matter.
Thank you
