Default Dreaded roof drip mold peeling solution (PICS)

Sup everyone. Proud new owner of my 09 GSh and as many of you GS/LS owners know we suffer from this peeling from the two roof drip trims above our doors along the roof of the car. Many spend hundreds to repaint (what Toyota should've originally done) or have to haggle with their local dealership to resolve as a grace.

My solution was to simply peel them all off. You just remove the entire trim piece from its base and lift up at the center and work both sides off, as it is held by multiple clips on the bottom. Then you simple peel off that cheap acrylic "wallpaper", which you might need the help of a dull tool as you don't want to scratch what is stainless steel under all that mess. You'll also want to use some adhesive removing spray/goof-off to get the glue off, and then give the trim nice wash/wax. Then simply click them back onto the roof and voila, you'll notice a very subtle but nice looking trim. SEE BELOW BEFORE/AFTER:

Or just superglue the peeling edges and move on with life?

If you wanted to you can also grab a brillo pad and sand it in one direction that can give you a brushed stainless steel look. Good job!
