2006 GS 300 AWD EPS/AC Issues
Hello everyone, and thank you for reading this ahead of time.
Lets skip all the unnecessary talk and go straight to it.
I had a water pump that was going bad, bought new one from Autozone for $110 bucks. Im not a Mechanic but I have looked under the hood a few times and decided to replace the water pump myself because dealer price was about 1250. With my lack of experience I did not drain the Radiator to begin with and undid all the hoses and drained all the coolaid that way. During the process of replacing the pump I did not disconnect any harnesses. When The job was done and I started the car, to my surprise nothing blew up and engine was working like it was supposed too, unfortunately the P/S sign was lit up and that is when I realized I did something Wrong. After waiting 2 days the P/S sign dissipated but the wheel felt odd. Instead of the regular smooth turning I was getting jerky wheel going both directions as if it was a clock and the arrow was how the wheel was moving. I went and bought a different Serpentine belt from Orailies and that did nothing. Oh and also My A/C light is blinking and I am not getting any cold air coming out. Forgot to mention during the replacement of the pump I first bought a serpentine belt from autozone, and also after putting new coolant in, I got all the air out of the system properly. Now it has been over a week I have driven the car to work and two times the P/S light came back to me on the way home and I had fun Driving back home for 62 miles with out power steering, luckily most of that was freeway first time one the fourth day after I stood in a parking lot with engine on for about 15 minutes and second time two days later during the trip home from Seattle in Traffic. Tried running a scan with a cheap scan tool but as expected there was no errors found since check engine is not on. Please give me any advice or any ideas.
