Hi every one.
I have a 2006 GS 430 and looking to see who knows about rear trunk not sensing its closed ? on the dash shows the trunk is open and key fob cant open the trunk.
checked for power to lock or sensor beneath the bumper cover or mudual still no sign of power. any ideas ? your insight is appreciated.

First, make sure that the override button in the glove box is not actuated. Did you try the button on the dash? If that works, it's the fob. If neither the dash button or the fob work, it's probably the latch that is bad. Did you try to open it with the key in the fob (manual lock)? If you can get it open with the key, try shutting it firmly again and see if the dash light goes out. If not, it's likely the power latch that needs replacing.
