Default Daylight Running Lights

Hi all
My veh is a GS450H 2011 without Daylight Running Lights I like the idea that your models use the Main beams as DLR with reduced brightness i would like to acheive this now i know it may not be practible with our UK spec but i would have thought it would be a relay and a wiring harness
Does any of you guys know how its fitted ( i realise it may be impossible) biut if it was just a relay and a bit of wiring harness i could get my local auto leccy to wire it for me
A wiring diagram would be very handy if there is one
Thank you
Robert

If you purchase a techstream software and obd2 plug both are about $15-20 on ebay. You can go to into the vehicles settings, I bet the drl wiring is all there it just needs to be turned on. You can do that via techstream software.

Hi Ibidu1
I checked with Techstream there is no reference to it at all so it looks like its a No Go unless you know something different i looked in Customisation

Hi Ibudu1
Just a point if i could indulige in your Knowledge Would it be possible to take a feed from the Ign Controled fuse through a Normally closed relay to the Fog light fuse then take a feed from the sidelight Fuse to open relay when light switch is turned thereby switching of relay and putting out the fog lights and useing these as DLR maybe put in LED bulbs As i said i am not a Leccy so it may be totaly out of the question (Knowining how Lexus Wire things up)
TIA
Robert

Thats possible, but instead of trying to into the stock fuse box why not buy an aftermarket wire harness and just run a power wire to it with a switch.

Something similar to this, this way if you have an issue wiring related you can easily undo the work or switch it off.

Hi,

The option for DRL don´t appear in your car because it is an European version. This option only appear in USA version. I have an European 2007 LExus GS 450h and i need to activate DRL. I am thinking about to buy an USA light modul and install it in my car and try with techstream. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Why in a European GS does the DRL option in teachstream appear and in a European GS does not appear?
