I recently had my car detailed and the guys pulled off the protective film from the factory that was on the door sills. Is this something I can replace? Lexus said they don't carry this (totally understandable). I don't love the idea of a heavy duty 3M replacement. Really just looking for something similar to the light contact paper that came from the factory. Any issues with grabbing a roll of transparent contact paper from the dollar store?

It's probably just a sheet the manufacture use to protect it from scratches during the assembly line. A lot of PDI tech at the dealership will overlook this before putting a vehicle on the lot. I'm not sure where you can find this sheet. Maybe Ebay or amazon. It would be a universal fit.
