My GS430 won't start

Hello all. I have a 06 Lexus GS430 with about 170k miles on it. Up until today I've had no serious issues. I was at the gas station yesterday pumping gas and when I got back in the car and pushed the button to start I got nothing. No dash lights, no light on the "push to start" button, the steering wheel wouldn't move or anything. The fob wouldn't unlock the doors or even open the trunk. After it sat for about 30min, it started right up. I drove to my mom's and shut it off, tried to start it again.... same thing. I let it sit overnight and it started. I drove home (5hrs away) and just left it running. I get home shut it off, and you guessed it.... won't start. I just changed the fob battery and it's still doing it. Any ideas?

Sounds like maybe battery terminals are corroded, inspect and remove and clean them with sand paper or a wire wheel. Also inspect the connection from the battery terminal wire to the clamp, remove that nut and clean underneath it. If the terminals have eroded you can buy new ones from the dealer and install them yourself.

Could be what ibidu said.... Best way is to take pictures and let us see what the battery terminals look like right now.

It's an 18 year old car with almost 200k miles on it... Something's definitely loose.

That was my thought as well at first. I probably should have mentioned I cleaned the cables and made sure they were tight on the battery. I decided to take it to the shop this morning because I'm looking at a 50+hr work week and won't have time to deal with It Myself. So I have it at a trusted mechanics shop now, and he's gonna check all the connections for me (and do my needed break job and oil change lol)

But he did say the exact same things you guys did.... thanks for the feedback!
