Last saturday I changed the oil of my car and had the time to do my routine maintenance, I inflated my tires to 40 PSi, re-torque chasis bolts, suspension bolts, spark plugs, exhaust bolts, air intake couplins, etc.. cleaned my air filter, air sensor and intake.

Filled my gas tank and my MPG are now around 13.5, I keep on monitoring.

One thing to note is that in Santo Domingo city driving, traffic jams are very usual and a lot of braking is present during "normal" driving, so cruising is not common but mostly stops and go. So chances are thats why I get so horrible MPG versus you guys, those getting over 15MPG are you at some point doing highway or constant cruising?

Anything else you guys suggest to get some additional mpgs?
Thanks in advance!

I just bought my 2013 luxury pkg gs a few months ago. Installed brand new tires, cinturato p7 all season. I've been average around 30-32 mpg hwy and around 23-25 mpg mix driving. Fresh oil change today, penzoil platinum full synthetic and took it on the 1st road trip that average 34-35mpg hwy, way better than the estimated mpg suggest.

This is a Gen 3 forum. You have a Gen 4.

Check fuel trims with the scan tool- long term/short term at idle. Should be under 8 or so. Preferably 0.
Stop and go traffic with A/C is going to be very hard on mileage. Lucky if you get 14-16 maybe 17. When your car is stopped you get 0 mpg. Also takes a ton of gas to get 2 tons moving.

2007 GS350 AWD
85% highway
26.6 MPG
Average 75 MPH on highway
It uses more fuel when temps are below freezing

I think your 0-60 might be a touch faster if you turn traction off

I have an 07 AWD, in denver i get about 17mpg around city driving like an ***, on the highway I get about 26 when im cruising in the 70s

Wow! I was at a dealer today and saw a premo gs350 2008 108,000 miles for $12,500. Almost pulled the trigger. What stopped me was the computer on the dash showing 13.9 mpg. I just couldnt reconcile how the cars computer would be wrong. I drive a IS300 and get 23mpg continuously. My FJ cruiser gets 20 mpg. Why on earth does teh gs350 do so poorly on mileage?

I get a solid 23 now. Not using A/C much. The car could have been idling for a long time after reset. A downhill drive could inflate the computer as well.

They may have just filled the tank. It takes a few miles of regular driving for the computer to calibrate the mpg correctly. I get 20 in the city and 27 on the highway in my 2008 GS 350 with 140k miles on he clock. Keep up with the routine maintenance and enjoy the car as it all around great!

Mine says 12.9L/100km, that's pretty good as its only my first tank on this car and I've been some fun with it

I may need to replace an a/f sensor then I anticipate the 30mpg+ that some people get.

Jumped on the freeway and teleported through the city today, it was fun, 2 ISes saw me and followed Lexus gang

after my corolla the GS is a thrill. but the fact that a trip around the city can cost you $20 will take some getting used to

Lol I'm trying to sell the same car with 81,000 miles here in Quebec and everyone thinks it's overpriced!

As for the milage it resets it self every time you fill the tank so it depends how you drive the car in that tank range

Is that true? Usually the ave mpg setting has to be reset manually.

while I am thinking about the test drive again, the engine seemed noisy when accelerating. It had a soft sound like coins in a jar sound. I couldnt tell if it was exhaust or valvetrain. I heard nothing at idle with the hood up.

9/10 you got an exhaust leak.
1) remove the shields
2) An exhaust place will fix you up for 70-100 per side.Must be welded.
