Oil level question (09' GS350)
I've been keeping an eye on my oil level between change intervals to see how much "consumption" i'm getting....which has lead me to a question. In terms of quart capacity, what is the difference between the two holes on the dipstick? Top hole is "full" and bottom hole is "low" (i assume)....but what is the difference between the two holes in terms of actual Quarts?? If at the end of driving a 5000 mile interval....I see my oil level is slightly above the bottom hole. So...is it 1 quart the difference between the bottom hole and top? Or is it 2 or 3??! I can always measure what I drain (i do my own maintenance) to know for sure what I'm losing in consumption....but was curious if anyone knew the answer to my dipstick question. Anyone know?

When doing oil changes I can dump 5 qt and use the dipstick to accurately gauge how much I need to put in to fill the rest.
