Welp, that simple project was a total fail.

I’ll try again next weekend. Busy work week so I won’t even get to drive the Lexus until Fri - Sat.
Thanks to those who offered help.

Be patient and you will do it. I had hard time first but then was able to change all four bulbs.

Is there a LED option for the 9005 that does not need a kit or conversion?
If you're replacing High Beam/DRLs with something other than Halogens, you're going to need some other piece of hardware - a 'canbus fix', error canceller, anti-flicker module, etc. The replacements are going to draw less power than the stock bulbs, and will typically not be able to dim to provide two different levels of brightness like your stock halogens.

Since they will have to be on at full intensity in both modes, this would be like driving with your High Beams on pretty much all the time. For some people this isn't a problem; for others it is a deal-breaker and you'll want to stick to better halogen bulbs if you are looking for an upgrade there.

I did the LED reverse lights.2200 lumens. $10 for two. Photo shows right one installed, left one original.

Looks nice. They really do make a difference in light output and overall appearance
