Upgrade radio touchscreen

2006 GS300 Looking to upgrade the touchscreen. I have been told it would need customization of the dash which is extremely pricey.
Any suggestions?

I know the GUI is different in the 2007, I wonder if that can be swapped out with minimal issue

upgrade radio

I assume that the GUI you referred to is the guts of the radio. Correct?
If so, who could do something like this?

GUI = Graphical User Interface. Meaning the layout of what the user sees, the "skin" if you will, looks different in 07 than the 06

Touchscreen etc

Thanks for the info.
Do you know if I can just change/upgrade the backup camera to one that has the lane lines etc and if it will work with what I have? 2006 GS300

I don't think you can. It's normally program in the software. I don't think any of the 3G GS has the lines.

I seem to recall the lines were in the processor for the lens that superimposes the lines to the head unit
