I have a 07 GS 350 that came without the ML speakers system, one of my speakers, the passenger front side is making a noise at low bass tones. I would like to upgrade thr 4 door speakers to a better quality ones, can you help me up on the specs of the speakers? Do i need some adapters to replace them with lets say JBL ones? Or should i stick with the oem sound and find some stock replacements off eBay? I just want a better audio with a little bit more power and nicer bass.

Solved! Speakers foam was all torn, replaced with a brand new stock speakers bought from eBay for 50 bucks both. Sounds great now!! Goos idea is when replacing thr speaker to have some butyl around to reseal the plastic inside the door panel.
I am wondering if my speakers or amps is blown because i hear hardly any bass. My stock system in all my cheaper Honda sounds way better. My wife’s 06 RX400h with non-ML audio sounds way better.
Where can I find a diagram of the speakers layout? Or how can I test for blown or failed speaker or amp?
Have you checked the door speakers condition? Have you visually inspected the door spakers and confirmed that there are notorn speaker diaphragm? First on the doors then check the bass over the trunk. When I purchased my car all 4 speeakers where really bad and I got almost no bass from them after replacing they sound really really good.
I have heard about ML amps producing no sound at all but nothing as you mention.

I installed some 5.75" kickers today 4ohm crutchfeild told me my 2011 3GS had 4ohm speakers. I put some in today got wiring harnesses that plugged into oem and they said it should be fine with the amp I am not using a bigger speaker just a better quality for better sound my speakers were tore up, install was easy will keep updated if it messes with oem amp but I doubt it

They are nice the old ones were super tore up and would rattle on certain songs they do not rattle but still wanting a little more bass but I can forsure hear more detail, since I can crank it up without the fronts rattling I can hear the rear and sub not handles the high volume aswell as the new ones so I'll be looking to install as much as I can without touching the amp, but I definitely recommend the upgrade especially phone over BT the ringing and peoples voices would rattle my speakers bad. 2011 GS350 non ML this was also my first audio install.
